Ever felt like your brain needs a rest?
2017 has been a big year and I’ve got to tell you that I’ve put in big effort!
What I’ve learned over the past few years as an entrepreneur, is that my best ideas come after I’ve given myself plenty of time off.
Sometimes a weekend isn’t enough.
Sometimes even as a creator, your creativity will feel like it’s at a standstill, and that my dear is the time to book in rest, fun, and activities that completely shut your mind off.
You know how it feels to create passionately! It takes a lot doesn’t it?
I thought I would share some short words about a practice I have that has allowed me to continue to grow my business without burning out.
I book in time off FIRST.
That’s right. I put rest time, fun time, down time, you name it, in my calendar and THEN I plan my business projects around it.
I know after a launch that it’s time to take 10 days off somewhere. I know that between large projects it’s time to not do too much. I know that DURING big launches or projects, I schedule in even more rest and fun, to remind me that part of being a entrepreneur means feeding myself in so many other ways that allow me to keep doing what I’m doing and loving what I’m doing.
I thought I would reach out to you quick about this before I take off tomorrow for a family reunion that’s happening on the Oregon coast this Saturday.
You see, I ended a big launch not too long ago, and Rob and I headed off to England for a bit. Now it’s time to show him my hometown that I haven’t been back to since 2009!
I think this break and this time to reminisce will be so powerful and fueling for me, and I’m curious… what can you book in now to give yourself the rest that you need?
To some high quality R & R,
